The demise of
Rishi Kapoor has left the entire fraternity in a state of shock. While people weren't able to get over the news of
Irrfan Khan's passing away yesterday, the loss of another stalwart has left the entire nation in a state of shock.
While fans and celebrities have been taking to social media to express their grief, we came across actor
Chandan Roy Sanyal tweet where he pointed out about an eerie connect between Irrfan Khan and Rishi Kapoor that he had witnessed.
To know more about the incident, we got in touch with him exclusively. Here's what he had to share about his first meeting with Irrfan Khan in presence of Rishi Kapoor.
Talking about Irrfan's demise, Chandan said, "The shocking news about Irrfan Sir's sad demise came as a shock to me because he was like a messiah to all actors, who come from outside. He was an actor, who was maturing and going to the next level with each performance. While we all knew about his health condition but when I heard about his news yesterday it left me in a state of shock."
Furthermore, the 'Chef' actor also opened up about his first meeting with Irrfan in Rishi's room. "I remember the first time I met Irrfan Sir, it was in Rishi Sir’s room in Ahmedabad. As a junior, I was listening to them as they talked about acting, Raj Kapoor,
Guru Dutt Ji, Naushad Saab. In fact, yesterday I was listening to one of Rishi Sir's interview on the radio and he's not there today. The biggest regret is that such talented and famous actors had to pass away like this, in a time when people can't even go and pay their last respects to them. It's a very, very sad day for everyone," he said.
Not only this, but Chandan even shared his experience of working with Rishi Kapoor and what he learnt from the veteran actor. He said, "I have known Rishi Sir for a long time as I have worked with him in many films in the past. We have spent a lot of time together, on and off the sets. He was a very honest and sincere man, he would never lie at all. Whenever I asked Rishi Sir about how was the scene, then he used to always tell me the truth. He appreciated me as an actor and always told me to be honest with the art. I remember when we were working together in 'D-Day' he asked me if I liked his scene and I was like totally moved by it. That's when he told me that one should always be honest and as an actor you should always inform another actor if he ever makes any mistake."
